It has been requested that ABC fire Whoopi Goldberg from the talk show “The View” and replace her with Rosie O’Donnell.
We reported earlier this week that Whoopi Goldberg was being criticized for making more “offensive” comments regarding the Ho locaust and again suggesting that it had nothing to do with race.
The backlash against her has continued despite her apology, and ABC is being urged to fire her from “The View” and replace her with Rosie O’Donnell.
ABC should fire Goldberg and replace her with O’Donnell
According to the Sun, Goldberg was suspended from “The View” for two weeks earlier this year after saying that the Ho locaust had nothing to do with race.
Although she later backtracked on her remarks, she reiterated them in an interview last week, much to the outrage of fans around the world.
Currently, fans are calling on ABC to replace Goldberg on “The View” with O’Donnell.
Reddit users recently asked the question: “If Whoopi is fired, should Rosie be brought back?”.
In addition, the article stated: “Whoopi, who I love, once again said something really dumb, and ABC must be furious.” “If she is fired, should they bring back Rosie O’Donnell as a moderator?”
It was noted that many fans agreed, with one writing, “I would love to see Rosie return, if only to see how she would handle the Sunny situation.”.Additionally, I am interested in seeing how she interacts with Farrah.
She and Elizabeth were on opposite sides of the political spectrum, but they did get along quite well for a period of time.”
“I would love it if Rosie returned,” said a third user, while another added, “Bring Rosie back! I love her.Even as a special correspondent.”.
The View’s history with O’Donnell
The show’s moderator Meredith Viera was replaced by O’Donnell in 2006, when he first joined the show.
As the show’s token conservative from 2003 to 2013, she often engaged in heated arguments with Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
In an argument with Hasselbeck over the Iraq war, O’Donnell left the show eight months later.
In 2014, O’Donnell returned to “The View,” appearing alongside Goldberg, but left once again in February of 2015 due to “personal reasons.”
According to a source close to the show, O’Donnell left the show due to behind-the-scenes conflicts with Goldberg.
In her return to the show, O’Donnell allegedly believed that she would be moderator, and was dismayed to discover that Goldberg would hold that position, which led to tension between the two.
14 years ago today, Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck had an iconic back and forth on #TheView.
I watched it live and then a million times again, so much so that I can still quote every line verbatim.

Commentary on Goldberg’s latest Hol ocaust remarks
She has been in hot water for her remarks about the Ho locaust, saying, “My best friend said, ‘Not for nothing is there no Jewish race box on the census.'”This leads me to believe that we are not a race.”
Goldberg responded, “Yes, but that’s the ki ller, isn’t it?” The oppressor is telling you what you are.Why are you believing them? They are Na zis. Why are you believing what they are saying?
Whoopi Goldberg continues to use the Holocaust as her punching bag.
We told her that her comments harm us and she simply doesn’t care. I survived the Nazis and the Holocaust, so I’ll be damned if I let a comedy has-been, peddling a fake Jewish name get the better of me. pic.twitter.com/wgAHGsBPPU

In addition, Goldberg went on to assert that the H olocaust was not originally motivated by racial prejudice.
They were not k il ling rac ial, they were ki ll ing physical,” she said. “They were ki lli ng people they considered to be mentally defective and then they made this decision.”
Despite Goldberg’s apology, many feel that she should be held accountable for once again lying about the H olocaust. It remains to be seen whether ABC will take a stand against antisemitism by dismissing Goldberg.
